Arises & Trevor Lee Larson 'Kill your bed', Performance at Gallery Ben Kaufmann

The canadian/german musicduo performed a short but intensive gig at gallery Kaufmann on Wednesday, as part of the current show "Masterworks of the 21 century". The duo played their gothic/punk set in complete darkness accompanied by strobelights, dryice and incense.


As part of the exhibition, the gallery space has been turned into a café where various evening events, ranging from lectures to coney island hotdogeating contests, are to take place.

Through hosting theese versatile activities, thereby creating an "institutionalized location for social exchange", Kaufmann hopes to inspire a debate over its function as a gallery and to give an "anticipatory proposal for an aestethic of the 21 century".
