valami igazán jó - hideg téli napokon : transmedaile.09

Through DEEP NORTH transmediale.09 looks to explore the cultural consequences of an issue that has come to dominate virtually all aspects of life and society. Whether ecological, social, or economic, DEEP NORTH alludes to the intense fragility and inherent instability of human interaction with global systems. In the context of climate change, transmediale.09 reflects on the urgency to read global events in fundamentally new ways, developing new cultural vocabularies factoring the autonomous and critical nature of art into the complexity of these equations. By converting the House of World Cultures (HKW) inn Berlin into a makeshift zone of cultural shelter, transmediale.09 sets off on its journey into these deep states of fragility, insecurity and temporality.

A preview of the new DEEP NORTH trailer for transmediale.09 by Rotterdam based artists telcosystems. The full immersive sound trailer will of course be seen and heard at transmediale! Telcosystems presents "Mortals Electric" a performance for a massive single-screen projection and 5.1 surround sound featuring slow-moving cloud clusters, layers of strobing organic structures, deep machinic drones and waves of digital noise. With Mortals Electric, Telcosystems present a new audiovisual journey at the House of World Cultures during transmediale.09 on Friday Jan 30, 20.30 h.

!!!!!Live Streams transmediale.09 offers live video streams from the Conference and Salon. Starting on Tuesday 27, you will find a list of available streams here, in the stream-box.
