In 2003 Berlin started the series Holocene [the current geological period], of which JERUSALEM was the first. On three screens we see a penetrating portrayal of one of the most complex cities in the world.
Holocene 2 - IQALUIT became an installation with 7 screens. A portrait of the capital of the Inuit in Northern Canada.
BONANZA [Holocene 3] is the portrait of the smallest official town in Colorado [USA]. 7 residents in 5 houses, a mayor, a town council. Berlin shows this ‘micro cosmos of the world’ on 5 screens and a small-scale model.
Berlin is currently working on Holocene 4 - MOSCOW.

de azt még mindig nem értem- miért pont : berlinberlin? lehetett volna delhidelhi , budapestbudapest, prágaprága etc. de miért pont berlinné lesz egy flamand (antwerpeni) művészcsoport? erre (még ) nincs válasz.
